Modern soul sensation Cee Lo Green revealed last week that he has been forced to reschedule his looming tour of the UK, after being barraged with a host of scheduling problems.
The American singer has not toured the UK since he scored a massive worldwide hit with his smash single ‘Forget You’ (although some of you many know it as a slightly different title!). The huge success of the single caused Cee Lo Green’s fame to soar into the stratosphere, with the iconic title being broadcast not only across the airwaves, but on the chests of millions of t-shirts around the world.
Sadly, his tour has been delayed – due to start next month, the series of gigs promoting his latest album ‘The Lady Killer’ will not start until 26 March, at the Glasgow ABC. The former Gnarls Barkley singer will then play gigs at the Manchester Academy, the Birmingham O2 Academy, London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire and finally Bristol’s O2 Academy on the 31st of the month.
The tour will then be followed by Cee Lo Green’s new single ‘Bright Lights Bigger City’, coming out on 4 April – the third from the new album, along with ‘Forget You’ and its Top 20 follow-up ‘It’s OK.’
The album features a host of guest artists, such as producer Salaam Remi and Fraser T. Smith – and reports last week said that UK soul diva Amy Winehouse has recorded a duet with the US singer after they met on the Caribbean island of St Lucia, while Amy was recording her new album.
