Former Girls Aloud songstress Cheryl Cole may have been throwing out her American music t-shirts this week after being mysteriously removed from the judging panel of the US version of the popular X Factor talent show and replaced by The Pussy Cat Dolls’ Nicole Scherzinger.
Having only had her place on the show confirmed this month, so far there has been no word from X Factor boss Simon Cowell as to why Cheryl Cole was replaced. The full judging panel will now consist of Scherzinger alongside music industry veterans Paula Abdul and L.A. Reid, as well as X Factor head-honcho Cowell.
Having mentored the triumphant contestant(s) in two of her three years as a participant, Cheryl Cole’s place in the US production seemed certain, with even Simon Cowell himself stating that “This girl can spot talent.”
Having already left the UK version of the show, Cheryl Cole’s next move remains uncertain, while official word is still eagerly awaited from within the Cowell camp.
