Known for their ever-changing appearance as much as they are their music and their inventive music t-shirts, rock giants Coldplay are once again undergoing an image overhaul in keeping with the theme of their soon to be released new LP, due this autumn.

Coldplay, who famously adopted a ‘French revolutionary’ look for their last album, Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008), have promised fans a new full-length project before the winter, with their most recent change in attire and shift in musical style being inspired by the long celebrated graffiti scene in New York City, a subculture that was famously brought to the attention of the mainstream in the early 1980s by Debbie Harry and Blondie.

The press were made aware of Coldplay’s new image and musical direction as they confirmed a release date of this week for ‘Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall’ –  the first single to be lifted from the forthcoming album release.
