Evanescence singer Amy Lee stuck up for her games console this week, hailing her Nintendo 3DS as the salvation of her vocal chords while on tour.
The US singer-songwriter is currently touring with Evanescence – and thus fellow band members Terry Balsamo, Tim McCord, Troy McLawhorn and Will Hunt.
Amy admitted that she’s quite chatty on tour and needs to hide away with her console to save her voice for singing.
“It is sometimes the one thing that will help me shut up. If I can just go to my bunk, close the curtain and play Zelda then I won’t be talking and will save my voice for the show,” she told Kerrang! Magazine.
She went on to reveal more of the rock and roll lifestyle that has seen her gazing out from many music t-shirts – a “really good pillow” and eucalyptus oil to soothe the throat.
