Canadian teenybopper sensation Justin Bieber has revealed yet another eccentricity about rapper Kanye West – he doesn’t ever use the phone.
In an interview with MTV News, Bieber spoke about working with Kanye on a remix of his track ‘Runaway Love’.
Although he thoroughly enjoyed working with the bizarre musical genius, the 16-year-old pop star said that the experience was made a little more difficult than it needed to be thanks to Kanye’s reluctance to just pick up the phone occasionally.
Justin said: “It’s funny, because he doesn’t even use a phone, he just sends email. It’s so crazy. I’m like, ‘How can you not use a phone?’”
However, the singer was not downhearted by Kanye’s oddities, explaining to MTV that working with the rap star was a fantastic experience because he is such a talented and “nice” person. In fact, Kanye’s niceness was something Justin was very keen to emphasise.
“It was amazing. He’s such a cool guy, and he’s just really laid back and just nice, and at the end of the day, he’s just a nice person,” gushed the singer.
“He reproduced the ‘Runaway.’ joint, and I’m really excited.”
The Kanye West remix of ‘Runaway Love’ will be featured on the forthcoming Justin Bieber album ‘Never Say Never – The Remixes’, and Justin’s manager Scooter Braun has also revealed that his young ward is also working with Kanye on several other tracks ultimately bound for his next studio LP – although he appeared to reveal a rare phone call made by the rapper!
“Justin is working on new music,” the manager said.
“He and Kanye had a call the other day about a song they’re trying to work on together – Kanye wants to produce a bunch of new songs for the new album.”
