The night of 11 May was a special evening for fans of Pink Floyd toting the celebrated progressive rock group’s music t shirts who were treated to the reuniting of original band members David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Roger Waters as Waters – performing a solo showing of Pink Floyd’s legendary LP ‘The Wall’ at the O2 Arena in London – had them join him on stage to partake in the show.

The gig signalled one of only two occasions when the surviving members of Pink Floyd have performed together since the group disbanded in 1985, with only two further Pink Floyd shows occurring, in 1996 and 2005 respectively.

Despite Roger Water’s new found enthusiasm for Pink Floyd to reform for a small tour, fans will unfortunately be kept waiting as David Gilmour made it quite clear that his cameo appearance was a one-time only affair. Waters will continue to perform his solo version of Pink Floyd’s ‘The Wall’ in London, Manchester and Birmingham until 28 June.
