Celebrated rock band The Red Hot Chilli Peppers have fans positively weak at the knees with the prospect of their forthcoming LP, the follow up to 2006’s ‘Stadium Arcadium’, due for release in August.
A title has not yet been confirmed, although drummer Chad Smith joked saying it could potentially be called ‘Hello, Is It Me You’re Looking For’, a nod to the celebrated hit sung by Lionel Ritchie in the 1980s.
The media buzz surrounding the new album began last week when The Red Hot Chilli Peppers sent a promotional compilation CD to radio stations across the USA containing an 18 track package of their greatest hits to date.
Entitled ‘Road Trippin Through Time’, the intention of the disc was to remind the media and the public alike of their legacy and the fact that it has been 5 years since the release of their last full- length project.
Coincidentally, it was announced by software giants Rock Band that The Red Hot Chilli Peppers have been one of the most popular acts amongst fans on their downloadable video game.
